We have a bus ad

With a long wait and anticipation there is a bus ad looming around the Ann Arbor bus system. There has been a lot of work involved from the team to get this put together. This was a fun process from the photo shoot of me of course and communicating on the process of putting it all together. Now you're probably wondering why we are going the print ad route for the fear of not getting a return? We are going to measure it's success by how many people go to the landing page we created for the ad vs. the amount of people who actually made the purchase. We believe it was important to bring more awareness within the Ann Arbor area considering the earbuds were designed by talented former U of M alums.

Spark!! There's a reason it's called that.

The digital age allows us to see and consume more information more readily then ever before. With that, there is a higher demand for students to help get their company in the direction they need. Companies benefit from programs such as Spark that help companies direct them in a high demand market for information. Giving companies opportunity gives them hope and when you have hope you gain confidence. Confidence allows you to perform your job properly and with integrity, it's called Spark for a reason to give these companies a spark of confidence to get them the extra boost they need. The effort they put in to help students gain the experience they need is greatly appreciated. Most of the people mentoring us still have other full time jobs to fulfill but they see the importance of getting the youth the direction needed. I've changed careers

It's hard if you have spent 11 years working as an aircraft mechanic and then you decide to do a 180 and go into digital marketing. My brain is still filled with all this knowledge about how to fix an airplane and it can be frustrating at times that you can't use it. Essentially what I have to do is replace it with what I am gaining through with the different experiences I have within the digital marketing world. My past experiences has allowed me to become a better problem solver and troubleshooter. A problem always has a link to it, a beginning and an end. If this bridge is broken then you have to figure out a way to make the processes seamless again. From my experiences of fixing airplanes in the past is to sit back understand how each component of the system is suppose to work and find out which part isn't doing it's job. Desai Interns, WOW

Now that I know I have found out how important a user experience is we had to step back and look at why people are not having a good experience. I'm able to work with other talented interns to get their insight on how to get a better user experience within our site. They have very useful knowledge on what interest them within a website considering they are growing up with the internet. They have no idea the pains and suffering we had with AOL dial up, or telling your parents to get off the phone so you can go into some chat rooms. I'm glad they never had to suffer, their knowledge of the digital advertising industry is great to have. Their vision of what is needed in order to get a product pushed has been essential for Ascape Audio to make it to the next level. Understanding the differences in their abilities helps get the team together to perform towards a common goal. It's all about that Landing Page

I'm starting to find out how important a good user experience is in order to get positive conversion. In the past I have optimized Adwords accounts for nonprofits which got little traffic to the site. So I didn't get to grasp the full implications of how important a landing page could be. As I sit here and analyze why the conversions haven't happened the way I would like, it dawned on me that I let one of my own pet peeves and what was taught to me slip me by. It's crazy to think that some features should be a no brainer, as you say to yourself, "our product is right there on the site why can't you find it". You can become so complacent about a site you look at on a daily basis that you forget to step back and look at it from a user visiting the site for the first time.

We are always one step behind

I've been with teams to help manage Adwords accounts for two other non-profit organizations. One being for apptechdesign.org and the other being bbbswashtenaw.org, myself along with other team member were successfully able to optimize their Adwords account in order to give the consumer a better user experience.


The Adwords campaign is up and running and with less than 24 hours we are starting to see activity. Although, it will still take time for the account to mature to be able to collect useable data. We want to convert quickly so we are going to need to do our part with some SEO work. Consumers want a path of least resistance in order to give them the experience they were looking for. If you're able to minimize this for your consumers than you're going to be able have higher conversion rates. The Goggle Call/Bus Ad

It's important to give your customers more opportunity to purchase your product. We want to be able to reach more consumers through search and for us to accomplish this we needed to set up a Google shopping account. Thanks to the team at Google they were able to guide us through the process and they will offer us support for the next 90 days to make sure the account is optimized. We need to drive and influence the buyer to make the purchase so the company can grow. People tend to use Google search to look for a product, people are willing to purchase a product that will fit their needs instead of a name they recognize.

We are also excited to have a print ad up in the Ann Arbor bus system. With a lot of people on the bus listening to music we figured this would be an excellent opportunity to give potential buyers other options for their listening needs.
